Alternative AfL Comment Writer

This spreadsheet (see link below) works by simply entering the cell reference for the comment you would like. The smart bit is that the comments are in the columns which start with key letters, so vocabulary is in column VO. To enter the best possible vocabulary learning comment, all you need to type in the cell is "=VO1". Names are automatically entered from the name list for you.

To print: select the option to print 9 pages per sheet in landscape orientation

ADVANTAGES
  • No high level knowledge of spreadsheets needed
  • Easy to adapt to your subject (your maps comments can be typed in column MA for example)
  • Detailed, pupil specific comments in a fraction of the time.
DISADVANTAGES
  • You need to be sitting near a PC when marking
  • Pupils need to be given a little time to stick the printouts into their books
